Kelcee

My sweet cousin Kelcee!! We took some quick pictures at the park in Slaton today. She needed some new ones by herself. This girl is hilarious!!! She is so witty. I cannot believe she's an 8th grader! She has grown 6 1/2 inches in the last year...yep that's right...6 1/2 inches! She has such long pretty legs. And her hair is so thick and gorgeous. Kelcee, I had a BLAST. Thanks for touching the nasty door for me and braving the mosquito's. I know you went home and scrubbed in the shower...ha ha!

Blog Topic Catch-Up

I am behind two weeks on the blog topics. Here is catch-up...

Talents/Hobbies

1) I love sports and aerobics classes. These are definitely hobbies, and some sports could qualify as talents. I'm pretty much game to try anything. I'm not a big fan of working out on my own, but I love aerobics classes.

2) I love photography. I know it's not a shock to anyone! Once again, it's definitely a hobby, and I think it's becoming more and more of a talent. I have a long ways to go, but I truly enjoy it!

3) I can stand on my head for a really long time. In fact, my mom and I have had some pretty crazy competitions, because she's really good at it too. I guess this talent is genetic!

4) I really enjoy singing. I would say it's a talent. I sing in my car, mostly, but also sing on our worship team at church.

5) I can say the books of the Bible in one breath...all 66 of them...thanks to Terry Newton. Again, big shock to you that know me well and know how fast I can talk!

Favorite Movie Characters

1) Andi Anderson (Kate Hudson) in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - "Does Princess Sophia want to come out and play?"

2) Dupree (Owen Wilson) in You, Me and Dupree - "The downstairs toilet is on the fritz again. We might need some toilet paper."

3) Lloyd (John Cusack) in Say Anything

4) Will Hunting (Matt Damon) in Good Will Hunting - "How do you like them apples?"

Kevin & Meggie

I photographed Kevin & Meggie's engagement session last night. They are tying the knot in September here in Lubbock. I've known Meggie for years. She and her sister both went to school in Slaton. I've been to lots of birthday and swimming parties out at her parents old house in Ransom Canyon. Poor Kevin, Meggie and I talked non-stop last night. I'm surprised there was enough oxygen left for him! We played around Lubbock for a while, then it started pouring, so we headed out to Ransom. It was fun to shoot somewhere different. I love all the one's overlooking the lake. Here are some of my favorites. I had so much trouble narrowing them down this much!! I had so much fun, you two!

Deusterhaus Family

I had the privilege of photographing the Deusterhaus family in Levelland yesterday morning. We hung out and took pictures on South Plains campus. My mom works with Sharon at Whiteface. It was so great to get to meet all of you. Ya'll were a fun family and a great bunch to photograph!! These are just a few of my faves from the morning...

This is Sharon and Tony. They are so cute together!

These are Sharon and Tony's children...sorry I don't remember everyone's name. :)

The girls...

The guys...

This is Jack. What a cutie! Not all the grandchildren were there, so he was not in the big family pictures, but I snapped a few of him. He wasn't too sure of me!

Update

It's been a while since I've updated on the "goings-on" at the Wall house. Mother's Day weekend was great! Dustin and I went to Southland's prom on Saturday night and enjoyed a good meal and a bit of dancing. On Mother's Day, we went to church that morning, then had our mom's over for dinner that evening. Dustin and Taylor gave me a gift certificate for a 75 minute facial at Linsey's Day Spa. I can't wait to use it!!! We had a good dinner and enjoyed dessert outside on a blanket. Taylor LOVES being outside!
Taylor is 7 months old now. She's eating Stage 2 foods. She loves all fruits (even prunes...yuck) and most veggies, except peas. She screams at us when we give her peas. She can hold herself up really well standing and finally rolled over 3 times yesterday. She'll be really mobile before we know it! She babbles all the time and loves to hear the sound of her voice. She is such a happy baby!

Here are some things I am enjoying right now...Ted Dekker books. Anyone read any of his? He's a Christian fiction author (thrillers) and he's awesome. I've read Three, House, and am currently reading Showdown. The books keep you on the edge of your seat!! Also, Dustin and I subscribed to Netflix. LOVE IT! We watched Freedom Writers the other day and Dream Girls should arrive today. We decided we are at the house a lot more on the weekends with Taylor, so we might as well enjoy some good movies.

Here are some recent pictures of the little munchkin. My digital is being worked on, so some of them are film images and are a little grainy.

Hudson Gray

Heath and Sara, some sweet friends of ours from church, are the proud new parents of Hudson Gray(I hope I spelled that right). He was born just over 2 weeks ago. I haven't been around a newborn since Taylor was born, and I have forgotten just how tiny they are. He is so adorable and did great for pictures! He is my first "baby photo package." I will take pictures of him at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. So, look for more of Hudson to come! Here is a little peek at some of the pictures I took this afternoon of Hudson and his proud mommy and daddy!
