2 year pics and Drool

I took Taylor to have her 2-year pictures done last week. And yes, I took her to a studio. SO not something I would normally do, but the girl will not hardly smile for me anymore! I thought maybe this would be easier...WRONG!!! Even though it was the most difficult 1 1/2 hours of my life, I really love some of the pictures. The ladies who worked with us were WONDERFUL and so patient. Here are some of my faves.

I took one with her so she would see it was okay and wouldn't freak out so much!
This one's my most favorite!

Yeah...she looks so innocent, but looks can be deceiving!
This cracks me up...her hands are in her back pocket!

Okay, onto the drool story. I thought this was so cute and wanted to remember it, so I thought I'd blog about it. With Taylor having hand, foot and mouth (see previous post) the doctor said she would probably drool a lot since the ulcers in her mouth make it hard to swallow. Well, I was at the school on Saturday checking my email and Dustin was at home with Taylor. When I got home, he was laughing. I asked what was so funny. He said Taylor had just drooled and then said, "Uh-oh Daddy, I just spilled my mouth!" I thought that was hilarious. Every time I think about it, I laugh out loud. I love that girl!!!

The Office and Taylor Pics

I LOVED The Office last night!!! Favorite moments...

1) When Stanley was leg lifting a paper ream
2) When Holly called Kevin "mentally challenged"
3) Michael "Clump"
4) When Kelly passed out
5) And of course...when Jim proposed!!! Totally did NOT see that coming and I loved it!

I can't wait til next Thursday. I think all episodes should be an hour.

We've been busy the last week or so! We are loving the cooler weather and football season. 100 members from the Tech band will be at the Southland game tonight...crazy! (Will post more on that soon!) We went to the Apple Butter Festival last weekend in Idalou. Taylor LOVED it! She fed the goats and sheep, got a flower painted on her face, made a necklace and ate some ice cream. That night, we went to Legacy Play Village with the young couples at church. I had never been there. It is so fun!! I didn't have my camera, but we'll be going back there soon! Taylor is doing great lately!! She's potty training so well...we rarely have accidents anymore. She's even waking up dry most mornings and always from her naps! I'm excited for the money we will save on diapers!! I've been meaning to blog this, but keep forgetting. A few weeks back, after she woke up from her nap, I told her "I love you ALL the way up to the moon." She looked up at me, with her hands on my cheeks and said, "Momma, I love you up to the clouds." Talk about melt your heart!! Unfortunately, I had to take her to the doctor yesterday. She has Hand, Foot and Mouth. She has lots of ulcers in her mouth. The poor baby can't hardly eat anything, but is really being a trooper!!

Here are some recent pics...some from The Apple Orchard, and a few from bath time.

Let me explain this one. She likes to sit in the sink while I fix my hair. This morning, she put her pull-up on her head. She thought it was pretty funny!

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No It's Scorpion Woman

Well, I had an interesting Thursday this week!! Taylor and I were about to take a shower together, and I had set her on the potty. We were out of toilet paper, so I reached under the sink to get a new roll. Suddenly, my fingers were on fire. I pulled my had out of the cabinet to find a SCORPION attached to two of my fingers...just dangling there! I shook my hand like crazy, while screaming at the top of my lungs!! It flew off, I snatched Taylor off the potty and went running into the living room. I grabbed Dustin's flip flop and headed back to the bathroom to smash it. As I was beating it to death, my daughter was in the hall watching me and yelling, "Kill it momma. Kill it!" After I killed it, I called Dustin. It stung like crazy and I was panicking! I ended up calling a clinic in Slaton and they told me to call poison control. As we thought, the scorpions here are not poisonous. They just hurt like crazy!! The guy at poison control explained some possible symptoms I might have and urged me to take some ibuprofen and benadryl, which I did, but I ended up fine! I've had none of the other symptoms. That afternoon, during Taylor's nap, I was sweeping the kitchen. I swept under the cabinet and another one came running out. I screamed again, and killed it. Needless to say, we are having our house sprayed.

I would like to share the email that my dad sent me. Taylor doesn't like this picture of mommy and my niece, Britten, asked Lindsay, "What's wrong with Aunt Ally?" Everyone else has gotten a big kick out of it. Hope it makes you laugh...
