New Pics
Just some new pics of Taylor. We were playing outside the other night, so I took some pictures. There are also some of her licking cake batter, after she "helped" me make a cake for potluck.

2 year pics and Drool
I took Taylor to have her 2-year pictures done last week. And yes, I took her to a studio. SO not something I would normally do, but the girl will not hardly smile for me anymore! I thought maybe this would be easier...WRONG!!! Even though it was the most difficult 1 1/2 hours of my life, I really love some of the pictures. The ladies who worked with us were WONDERFUL and so patient. Here are some of my faves.
This one's my most favorite!

Yeah...she looks so innocent, but looks can be deceiving!
This cracks me up...her hands are in her back pocket!

Okay, onto the drool story. I thought this was so cute and wanted to remember it, so I thought I'd blog about it. With Taylor having hand, foot and mouth (see previous post) the doctor said she would probably drool a lot since the ulcers in her mouth make it hard to swallow. Well, I was at the school on Saturday checking my email and Dustin was at home with Taylor. When I got home, he was laughing. I asked what was so funny. He said Taylor had just drooled and then said, "Uh-oh Daddy, I just spilled my mouth!" I thought that was hilarious. Every time I think about it, I laugh out loud. I love that girl!!!
I took one with her so she would see it was okay and wouldn't freak out so much!

The Office and Taylor Pics
I LOVED The Office last night!!! Favorite moments...
1) When Stanley was leg lifting a paper ream
2) When Holly called Kevin "mentally challenged"
3) Michael "Clump"
4) When Kelly passed out
5) And of course...when Jim proposed!!! Totally did NOT see that coming and I loved it!
I can't wait til next Thursday. I think all episodes should be an hour.
We've been busy the last week or so! We are loving the cooler weather and football season. 100 members from the Tech band will be at the Southland game tonight...crazy! (Will post more on that soon!) We went to the Apple Butter Festival last weekend in Idalou. Taylor LOVED it! She fed the goats and sheep, got a flower painted on her face, made a necklace and ate some ice cream. That night, we went to Legacy Play Village with the young couples at church. I had never been there. It is so fun!! I didn't have my camera, but we'll be going back there soon! Taylor is doing great lately!! She's potty training so well...we rarely have accidents anymore. She's even waking up dry most mornings and always from her naps! I'm excited for the money we will save on diapers!! I've been meaning to blog this, but keep forgetting. A few weeks back, after she woke up from her nap, I told her "I love you ALL the way up to the moon." She looked up at me, with her hands on my cheeks and said, "Momma, I love you up to the clouds." Talk about melt your heart!! Unfortunately, I had to take her to the doctor yesterday. She has Hand, Foot and Mouth. She has lots of ulcers in her mouth. The poor baby can't hardly eat anything, but is really being a trooper!!
Here are some recent pics...some from The Apple Orchard, and a few from bath time.

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No It's Scorpion Woman
Well, I had an interesting Thursday this week!! Taylor and I were about to take a shower together, and I had set her on the potty. We were out of toilet paper, so I reached under the sink to get a new roll. Suddenly, my fingers were on fire. I pulled my had out of the cabinet to find a SCORPION attached to two of my fingers...just dangling there! I shook my hand like crazy, while screaming at the top of my lungs!! It flew off, I snatched Taylor off the potty and went running into the living room. I grabbed Dustin's flip flop and headed back to the bathroom to smash it. As I was beating it to death, my daughter was in the hall watching me and yelling, "Kill it momma. Kill it!" After I killed it, I called Dustin. It stung like crazy and I was panicking! I ended up calling a clinic in Slaton and they told me to call poison control. As we thought, the scorpions here are not poisonous. They just hurt like crazy!! The guy at poison control explained some possible symptoms I might have and urged me to take some ibuprofen and benadryl, which I did, but I ended up fine! I've had none of the other symptoms. That afternoon, during Taylor's nap, I was sweeping the kitchen. I swept under the cabinet and another one came running out. I screamed again, and killed it. Needless to say, we are having our house sprayed.
I would like to share the email that my dad sent me. Taylor doesn't like this picture of mommy and my niece, Britten, asked Lindsay, "What's wrong with Aunt Ally?" Everyone else has gotten a big kick out of it. Hope it makes you laugh...

My Big Girl...sort of...
There have been some major changes in the Wall house over the last week. A week ago Monday, Taylor told me she needed to "poop" in the potty!! And she did! When she was done, I told her that we needed to go put her diaper back on. She told me No More Diapers! I've always heard that your kids will tell you when they are ready to potty train. I just didn't know it would be THAT blunt!! So, Monday afternoon, I put her in big girl panties and she's been in them since. We have a few accidents a day, but she's doing GREAT!!! Also that evening, Dustin and I decided she was ready for her big girl bed. She LOVES it and is still sleeping great! One night last week, she fell out twice, but went right back to sleep. Yesterday morning, Dustin found her sound asleep on the floor. Overall, though, she's doing great! Unfortunately, she is showing NO signs of being ready to get rid of the paci! I will probably work on that in a few weeks. I don't want her to have too many changes at once. She may be 40 before she gets rid of it, the way she loves the loves the stupid thing! For now, though, I will rejoice in all those trips to the potty!!!
Here are some pics of the big girl with her panties on in her new bed!

Out of the Mouths of Babes
Taylor said something last night that brought tears to my eyes. It also reminded me of how BIG our God is and that He is always in control, something I tend to forget in the busy-ness of my days. Here's the story...
Dustin's grandma has been having some pretty big health issues over the last month or two. Sunday, she took another fall (one of three or four in the last few weeks) and broke her nose and her finger. We've been praying for her and worrying about her for a while now. Last night, when we were getting Taylor ready for bed, I was saying her prayer with her. She said "Dear God, Thank you for daddy and mommy and taylor (which is what she normally says)...and for Me-Maw (Dustin's grandma)." We had not said anything to her about Me-Maw last night. In fact, we had not said anything about Me-maw in a few days. I referred to her last night by her first name, so I know Taylor did not overhear me. I was touched by her sweet prayer, but mainly touched by God. I know he put Me-maw's name in Taylor's head, so Taylor would pray for her. It's like He wanted to remind me that He is in control!
Another quick, similar story that I've never shared on my blog, but feel that it is fitting. When Dustin and I miscarried a few years ago, a sweet girl named Ramzi (see below post) taught me something about faith. She was about 3 1/2 or 4 at the time. She had known I was pregnant, so her mom had to explain to her that my baby had to go to heaven, but that my sisters baby was still in her tummy. That night, Ramzi prayed for Ally and Lindsay's babies'. When she was done, her mom explained again that my baby wasn't in my tummy, but had gone to heaven. Ramzi told her, "I was not praying for that baby, I was praying for the new baby God is going to put in her tummy." WOW!! And now I know why we are to have the faith of a child!

Mud Fun and Little Ladybug
I watched Trax and Ramzi today. After the rain we had this morning and our naps, we decided we should play outside in the sprinkler. The kiddos quickly got tired of the sprinkler, especially when they found these big mud puddles in the yard. Taylor wasn't all that fond of it, but eventually dug her hands in!
Check out how muddy Trax got!! Can you see the mudpile on his head???

Proof that Taylor DID get her hands muddy!
Afterwards, they 3 all enjoyed a bath together! The water was so dirty, we had to drain it and refill it halfway through.

Ramzi giving Trax "the look" after he nailed her with mud
I had to post these next pictures of Taylor's new ladybug bows. Dustin's cousins wife, Carla, made them and many others. I won them in an auction at a family reunion a few weeks ago. We had the perfect ladybug outfit to match the bows.

Happy 4th!
We had a fun-filled 4th today! We hung out at the park in Slaton, then went to a swimming party at a friend's house. Taylor was lots of fun!! She won "Little Miss Firecracker" at the park in Slaton. That's all this momma needs...one more thing to make her proud of her sweet little girl! :-)
