Happy 4th!

We had a fun-filled 4th today! We hung out at the park in Slaton, then went to a swimming party at a friend's house. Taylor was lots of fun!! She won "Little Miss Firecracker" at the park in Slaton. That's all this momma needs...one more thing to make her proud of her sweet little girl! :-)

This clown at the park made balloons for the kids. Taylor was not too sure of her!
Taylor and her friend Luke. He won "Little Mr. Firecracker"

KISSES!!!
She walked around forever with this lemon in her mouth. Crazy girl!!

She LOVED these goggles. They looked hilarious on her!

On the way home with her "coffee" (trophy). I guess she thinks it's a coffee cup?!

Happy Belated Halloween

Taylor was a little leapord for Halloween. I think she is the cutest little leopard...I'm not partial, though. HA! She had lots of fun trick-or-treating! She saw a sucker at her Pop Pop's house and stuck it in her mouth with the paper on. I tried to take it away, but she wasn't having it. I didn't want her to cry and smear her face paint, so I let her keep it. (I think my friend April posted once about "Being a better mom before you have kids." It's so true!) She eventually sucked through the paper, so Taylor had her first Tootsie Roll Pop on Halloween!

Taylor's 10 month pictures

I posted a while back that Taylor had turned 10 months old (Aug 16). I finally got around to taking some pictures of her at Maxey Park last weekend. The cute shirt she has on is from her Aunt Staci (we love it Staci, thanks!).

In other news, we had a fun experience this morning...Taylor pooped in the bathtub. I have read about a similar incident on my friend Amy's blog. I think I had the same reaction she did. I could not stop gagging. I can change diapers all day and even wipe toddlers bottoms after they poop in the potty, but in the bath tub...GROSS! Dustin put on gloves and fished the poop out, while Taylor and I waited in the other room. I'm so glad he was here!

Dustin and I have a much needed date night tonight. Thanks Gammy for keeping Taylor. I am so looking forward to it! Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone. Hope you enjoy your time off!

4th of July

We had a very busy day yesterday, but it was so much fun! We started the morning at the 4th on Broadway Parade. We sat on our church lawn with some friends from our class. I think I got pictures of everyone's kiddos, except for Thatcher, who would not look at me all day!

Charlie is too cute in his sunglasses

Carley in her cute lawn chair

How do you not love that face?!

After the parade, we walked down Broadway, along with probably 100,000 other people, to get a corn dog. Taylor fell asleep, even with all the people and noise!!

I love this little girl!

After the parade and corn dogs, we headed to the park in Slaton for their 4th celebrations. Taylor got to see her Grandma and Grandpa and her Great Aunt Lynette and Great Uncles Don and Lonnie.

This is Taylor's "Elvis" smile

Taylor and her future boyfriend, Kutter, although she much prefers fighting right now. She pulled Kutter's bandana and knocked him on the grass! He is about 5 weeks older than Taylor and she's already 2 lbs bigger!!

After Slaton, we headed to Plainview to see some of my side of the family. Taylor got passed around all night and loved every minute! We ate really good food, and enjoyed good company.

My big girl clapping

She LOVED playing with Shebi's dog Mia. Mia was scared to death of Taylor! At one point, Taylor stuck out her tongue so Mia could lick it...gross!

Taylor so excited over Mia

My beautiful cousins, Kristin and Kelcee

Taylor didn't get to enjoy the fireworks. She sacked out a little too early. She stayed inside while we enjoyed the show from my Uncles front yard.
