Taylor's Crib

Taylor's crib was delivered on Friday. We spent this afternoon putting it together. I LOVE it!! I can't wait to get the bedding, too. A dear friend of mine is sewing the bedding for us. The material is butterfly and paisley in pink, green, turquoise and chocolate. It's so cute! The changing table/dresser combo was suppose to be delivered Friday, also, but the box was damaged, so the UPS guy is returning it. I hope we'll get it in the next week or so. Taylor already has A TON of clothes from Britten that need to go in the dresser. Only 12 more weeks!!! It'll be here before we know it!

Taylor's New Booties

I have a lot of friends at work. Of course, some of them are fellow employees, but many of my friends are the residents that live at Carillon. Today, one of the residents and my dear friend gave me these booties for Taylor. She had knitted them herself. What a special gift! I know these booties were made with love and selflessness. So many of the residents have taught me many things since I've been at Carillon. This woman, in particular, taught me what it's truly like to love your husband. Her husband passed away last year, after over 50 years of marriage. You should've seen her eyes light up while she talked about him and reminisced over the last 50+ years. To this day, her eyes fill up with tears when she talks about what an amazing man he was. So, when I put these booties on Taylor, I'll think of her, her thoughtfulness, and her love for her husband.

Baby Taylor and Mommy update

Taylor and my belly both continue to grow!!! If she is "average" she probably weighs about 2 3/4 lbs and is 14 inches from head to toe. She wiggles and kicks many times a day. A few weeks ago, she would kick for like 5 minutes at a time. Now, she'll just kick a few times, and then as soon as Dustin touches my belly, she's done kicking. I'm thinking she's a little stubborn. Some days it feels like she is doing gymnastics in my belly. It's such a neat, but weird feeling.

At my 20 week sonogram, they found out that I have gall stones. It hadn't given me much trouble (other than a bit of nausea) until lately. The last few weeks, I've really had to start watching what I eat. No more fried, greasy or spicy foods. Mainly just blan foods for me! It kind of sucks because this was suppose to be the one time in my life that I could eat whatever I wanted. But, because of the gall stones, I've only gained 3 lbs. since I've gotten pregnant. I'm hoping this will make it easier to get the weight off after little Taylor gets here. And who knows, maybe I'll weigh less than I did before I got pregnant. I've also still been getting sick about once or twice a week. I can't really complain, though, because she is healthy and it's only for 9 months. I already know she is worth it!!!

For those of you that don't see me often, I've attached a picture from this morning. I am 26 weeks pregnant (2 weeks away from the 3rd trimester). I told you, my belly is really round!!!!

Staci's showers

A couple of weekends ago, Staci came down for her lingerie and bridal showers. We had a really great weekend. It was so good for us all to be here together, spending time with each other. Staci and Chad are getting married in Jamaica on July 20th. She will then be Mrs. Chad Christy!!! I love you guys!
